Visually Impaired Persons' Tours A way for visually impaired visitors to experience the building. We are delighted to be able to offer free guided tours to visitors with visual impairments. A dedicated group of our Cathedral Guides has been trained by VocalEyes, so that St Albans Cathedral can be more accessible to visually impaired visitors and enable them to experience it through senses other than sight. After a short orientation using our tactile maps and an introduction to the story of Alban, the tour focuses on the textures, sounds, spaces, smells and atmosphere that bring the Cathedral to life. These tours are exclusively for individuals with visual impairments; they are limited in size to six visually impaired visitors plus their companions and they take place at a quiet time of the week. Larger groups who wish for this tour should see the information about VIP Group Tours. Book Tickets Book your tickets online using the link below.
