Recruitment process

If you are interested in volunteering, please email [email protected]

After expressing your interest, you will be sent an application form where you will be asked a few questions about you and what you are looking for.  We will require two references and any information about your requirements.

You will then be invited to attend a recruitment morning where we will get to know you and let you know more about volunteering at the Cathedral, the opportunities available and much more.  There will be opportunities to meet other volunteers and applicants, and we hope it will be an interesting and fun experience.

The next dates for recruitment mornings will be Saturday 7 February and Wednesday 11 February 2026.
If volunteering is right for you, you will be required to do the online Church of England safeguarding training to a level appropriate to the role or roles for which you are applying.   There may also be further training appropriate to the role(s).

More information about application requirements and further training will be provided at the recruitment days.

There is no obligation to join the volunteer team, just come along and see if it might be something for you?
