Design the Alban150 Logo | St Albans Cathedral

The Brief 

We are looking for a logo that captures the spirit of Alban 150: celebratory, distinctive and rooted in the story of Alban, and the building which tells it. 

The logo should be clear, memorable and flexible enough to work across print and digital formats, from posters and web pages to social media and merchandise. 

Prizes 

The winning entrant will receive: 

• 1 x £100 St Albans Gift Card thanks to St Albans City Centre BID 

• 4 x tickets to an event of your choice under Luke Jerram’s Gaia when it arrives at the Cathedral in 2027

• Fast Track Entry to Carols on the Hour 

• Your design used across the year on Alban 150 Cathedral events, publications, the website and merchandise 

• A goody bag of Cathedral merchandise

• a short explanation of your design, up to 150 words

• if you are under 18, the name and contact details of a parent or guardian

Key rules 

Before entering, please note: 

• entries must be your own original work 

• the winning design will be used by St Albans Cathedral across Alban 150 activity 

• the Cathedral may make reasonable adjustments to the winning design for practical use 

• entrants under 18 must have permission from a parent or guardian 

• event prizes are subject to availability

Competition timeline

• Winner notified: End of August with the winning design announced soon after.
