Daily Services

Worship means different things to different people, so whether you are looking for a service to attend regularly, to light a candle or to spend some time soaking up the atmosphere of this ancient and holy place away from the noise of modern life, we hope St Albans Cathedral provides you with what you need.

This is a good place to explore your spiritual side - or to discover you have one. Nobody will try to convert or to pressure you. The place speaks for itself. Just come and experience it.

You can visit at any time of day, but there are many regular services each day too, all of which you are welcome to attend.

Ecumenical Services

Expand

St Albans Cathedral is uniquely enriched by its ecumenical partnerships in hosting services of different Christian denominations, each led by our ecumenical chaplains. This comes from our vision of welcoming all as Christ stemming from the rule of St Benedict on which this Abbey was founded, and shown by St Alban himself in welcoming a Christian priest into his home.

All are welcome to attend these services - you can find the dates and times of each service on our Service and Music list.
