Learning Adult Learning Nourishing Prayer: making sense of Holy Communion Join the Revd Dr Sam Hole as he discusses his new book, Nourishing Prayer, which offers an accessible devotional introduction to Holy Communion. Even though Holy Communion is the Church of England’s central act of worship, it can be difficult to understand, or become stale with years of repetition. Sam will explore the biblical sources and resonances which often pass unnoticed in many parts of the shape, words, and actions of the liturgy. This is a chance to ponder how Holy Communion can equip us for faithful discipleship by feeding our hearts, minds, and imaginations. About the Rev'd Dr Sam Hole | The Rev'd Dr Sam Hole is Chaplain and Solway Fellow at University College, Durham. He researches and teaches in liturgy and in theologies of desire and emotion.
