Lent Groups 2026: A Time for Fellowship and Faith
Join one of our 18 Lent Groups this year for fellowship and an opportunity to deepen your faith. Each group offers a relaxed, welcoming space to explore the meaning of the Cross and its place in our lives and in our Cathedral community.

You’ll gather with 4–12 other participants once a week for five weeks during Lent. Supported by members of the Clergy, groups will meet in a range of settings including individuals’ homes, a café, a pub, the Cathedral Offices, or a Care Home.

We hope many of you will take part whether to challenge and enrich your personal faith, or to get a flavour of the fellowship offered by our regular home groups.

Lent Course 2026: Windows on the Cross
This year’s Lent Course, prepared by the Clergy, explores The Cross through the perspectives of Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, and Paul. Together, we will reflect on what the Cross means for each of us individually and as a community of faith.

When & Where
Unless otherwise stated, each Lent Group meets in or around St Albans on the same day and time each week for five weeks, beginning in the week commencing Sunday 22 February.

If you are unable to attend all five sessions, this does not matter — perfection is not required!
