Term has got off to a great start here at St Albans Cathedral for our young people! On Sunday morning we welcomed many of our young people and their families back from the summer holidays. We blessed bags – school bags, work bags, laptop cases, etc., and gave out tags declaring ‘this is a blessed bag’. 

The Dean welcomed the children up to the front to peer inside her own bag during her sermon and then receive God’s blessing on their bags. Over 100 bag tags were made and they were all snapped up to adorn bags through the year. Look out for these around town! 

This was accompanied by a parish lunch, which was a great success, with around 100 people staying to enjoy burgers, sausages, salad, meringues and more!
