On Monday, we launched our Peregrine Live Cam for the first time in 2025! The camera will be streaming throughout the breeding season, marking the fourth year Alban and Budica have returned to the Cathedral. This year, thanks to a new camera sponsored by Opticron, viewers can enjoy a higher-resolution view of the Peregrines.

The exciting news caught the attention of Alice Bhandhukravi, reporter and presenter for BBC London TV, who visited the Cathedral to speak with Dean Jo about the significance of having these incredible birds at the Cathedral. They discussed the connection to Alban’s story and the impact on the local community.

Josh Kalms, People and Wildlife Officer for the Herts and Middlesex Wildlife Trust, also joined the conversation to share insights about Peregrines and what viewers can expect from the live cam. He emphasised the importance of wildlife conservation, and we’re proud to partner with the Herts and Middlesex Wildlife Trust to bring this project to life again this year.

The BBC London segment aired at 6.30 pm on Tuesday 25 March.
