The Cathedral Archives were delighted to host a group of guides from the Houses of Parliament at the Cathedral yesterday. Leading tours of the Elizabeth Tower, they show visitors its clock and the famous bell of Big Ben.

That clock was designed by Baron Grimthorpe who also spent a lot of time and money restoring our Cathedral in the latter half of the nineteenth century. A divisive and driven man, a Grimthorpe-themed day provides great opportunities to share stories of his impact both here and in Parliament.

The guides were given a Tower Tour of the Cathedral and had a special visit to the Cathedral archives.
