On Sunday afternoon, around 70 people from our Cathedral home groups and their families joined in a fun and sumptuous summer Tea Party in the Cathedral House Garden.

There was an abundance of cucumber sandwiches, delicious cakes, scones with jam and cream, and endless cups of tea. Alongside the refreshments came a magnificent game of pass the parcel — enjoyed by the young and the young at heart. All of this made for a fantastic time for everyone.

A big thank you to Dawn Knight, who coordinates our home groups, and to everyone who contributed to the afternoon.

With over 120 people in home groups here at St Albans Cathedral, they are an essential part of our community life and discipleship. Home groups are places for Bible study and prayer, friendship and fellowship, care and support — and plenty of fun.

Groups are always glad to welcome new members, or can look to creating new groups to suit people’s diaries. Home Groups are a wonderful way to grow in faith, share in prayer, and feel part of Cathedral life.
