This week is Organ Donation Week, where we highlight the positive gift of life that is organ donation. Tonight (Monday) we will light the West End pink to raise awareness.

Every day someone dies waiting for a transplant, and the transplant waiting list is now higher than ever. In Hertfordshire there are currently 104 people waiting for a life-saving transplant, and last year 81 people living in Hertfordshire died waiting for an organ.

The Organ Donation Team  are asking people to register their decision on the organ donor register, and let their family know what they want. Families are more likely to honour your wishes if they know what they are.
