Celebrating the heart of the cathedral – our Volunteers This week, from Monday 2 June - Sunday 8 June, St Albans Cathedral proudly joins the nationwide celebration of Volunteers’ Week 2025, a moment to recognise and thank the many incredible individuals who give their time, skills, and energy to support the life of the Cathedral. At the heart of everything we do is our vibrant community of over 500 dedicated volunteers, whose service keeps the Cathedral welcoming, thriving, and alive with history and hospitality. Their passion and generosity embody the spirit of community and worship that this Cathedral has cherished for centuries” To honour their contribution, we are hosting a special Volunteers’ Evensong on Wednesday 4 June at 5pm – an annual opportunity to recognise the wonderful contribution that volunteers make in our cathedral community. Earlier in May we held a Volunteers Tea Party, learn more about the day here. Interested in Volunteering? If you’ve ever considered volunteering at the Cathedral, there’s never been a better time.
