On Saturday evening Bishop Jane, the Bishop of Hertford, baptised and confirmed candidates from across the diocese in a joyful service anticipating Pentecost. There were 25 candidates from churches in Hatfield, Borehamwood, Stevenage and St Albans as well as some of our own candidates from the cathedral community, each publicly declared their Christian faith. The confirmands and their supporters gathered together and were sent out in the light of Christ to continue their journey of faith. The candidates will receive communion for the first time in their home churches on Sunday.
