Over 120 people came to St Albans Cathedral last night for our Diocesan Interfaith Event which began with delicious food and drinks on arrival. The group gathered represented many of the world’s faiths and was attended by the Lord Lt of Hertfordshire, the High Sheriff of Bedfordshire, the Bishop of Bedford, the Mayors of Welwyn Hatfield and St Albans City and District, and officers from Hertfordshire County Council.

There were 16 stalls showcasing the community work and groups that some of the different faith groups are doing in our communities and the event also included a Q and A with Dean Jo about how we can work more closely together in collaboration and friendship across the faith traditions. It was an inspiring and uplifting occasion and the Bishop encouraged us in his closing remarks to consider who we should be having conversations with so that we can grow closer in our work together.
