Families Light Up the Holy Pumpkin Trail Over one hundred children and their families joined this year’s Holy Pumpkin Trail, a joyful and faith-filled celebration of All Hallows’ Eve. Beginning with hot chocolate in the Welcome Centre, families collected their lanterns, maps, and loot bags before setting out down Fishpool Street to meet a host of friendly saints — each with plenty of treats and stories to share. A little rain did nothing to dampen spirits, and the trail ended at St Michael’s Church, where glow sticks lit up the darkness of the full church. In a short reflection, Fr Jonny Lloyd reminded everyone that the saints shone with the light of Christ in the world, and that each of us is called to do the same. The evening closed with the joyful call to “Walk in the Light of the Lord.” The Cathedral extends heartfelt thanks to all those who supported this safe, meaningful, and joy-filled celebration — and to everyone who joined in to make it such a memorable evening. 👉 Find out more about Cathedral groups and activities for children and young people:Children's groups Manage Cookie Preferences
