On Saturday 7  December, we held a joyful wreath-making workshop, which was aptly situated in front of the stunning Rose window in the North transept and led by Anita Lindeman, a member of our wonderful Flower Guild and whose expertise in floristry was founded in her establishing and running the Flower School in St Albans.

Throughout the workshop, it was lovely to see each individual wreath layered with evergreen firs, colourful baubles and bows. The scene was made even more festive by the sweet scents of pine and mince pies and the festive tunes from the brass rehearsal and carols sung by the choir.

A sense of peacefulness and productivity was palpable, too, throughout the three-hours that were spent decorating these door-wreaths and which epitomised this time of preparation and hopefulness in Advent.

We offer a great big thank you to Anita and to Jo for leading this fabulous workshop and to those who joined us for the morning.
