Townsend Church of England School has committed to developing a chapel on site, to be completed before the new year. This hugely exciting initiative has been led by our Youth Chaplain, Fr Calum, and is in memory of the much admired, long serving head, the late Andrew Wellbeloved.

Fr Calum stated:

‘Our faith, and its values, are at the heart of our school community. This new chapel will make clear the school’s commitment to nurturing faith in our young people, by giving them – and our staff – a sacred place for prayer, stillness, and reflection. It will be a space for the whole community to benefit from, and a valuable resource in a busy and noisy world, offering sanctuary and peace.’
