From tonight, 9 October we will be lighting the Cathedral up blue and pink for Baby Loss Awareness Week. The Cathedral will be lit every night for a week and over that period of time there will be various services at the Cathedral taking place throughout the week.

The Saying Goodbye Service will take place at 7pm on Monday 14 October. It will acknowledge the pain of loving and losing a baby or child at any stage of pregnancy or in their childhood. This is something that affects more people than we might initially think and so if you would like to come and join us for this quiet and reflective service, then please do come along. All are welcome.

There will be space on the Prayer Board in the Cathedral for the rest of the week for those who would like to further reflect.

During our Alban Devotion on 9 October, Fr Will, Canon for Mission and Pastoral Care, speaks more about the week and our upcoming Saying Goodbye Service. You can watch online on our Facebook channel @StAlbansCathedralOfficial

Alban Devotions are an informal moment of evening prayer and reflection, led by the clergy of St Albans Cathedral on Facebook Live. The videos remain on the channel for all to watch.
