Here, at St Albans Cathedral we continue to celebrate the scope and variety of learning through music, literature, art, science and faith. At the heart of this, there is a commitment to lifelong learning with our talks, workshops and as a centre for learning ancient languages, from Latin and New Testament Greek, to Hebrew and Old English.

What is more, we have developed a community, especially with those who have decided to take part in the Certificate in Theology courses. As each student actively engages with the Christian faith, attending evening classes, undertaking research, completing essays or language exams, we are delighted to be a part of each of their individual journeys in learning.

In continuing to kindle curiosity, we follow in the footsteps of those before us, both classical, medieval and early modern, whose thirst for knowledge and progression into wisdom continue to inspire the essence of our course modules, the topics of which have ranged in scope from: Art and Belief, to introductions on Christian Prayer, Doctrine, Church History, the Liturgy and the Holy Spirit.

We offer many congratulations to all of the candidates who completed modules this year and also to those who successfully completed the full Certificate in Theology. A great thanks also go to our excellent tutors, who are so generous with their expertise and support.
