The St Albans Cathedral Choir has begun the Christmas season with a flourish! Following their stunning performance at the Royal Foundation's Together at Christmas Carol Service, the boys and girls are preparing for more magical moments, including the beloved Lessons and Carols on 21 and 22 December, with the latter live-streamed for all to enjoy.

This season caps off an incredible start to the choir’s year. Under the new leadership of William Fox as Director of Music, the choir began with a vibrant Michaelmas celebration. This service saw new boy and girl choristers admitted, senior choristers honoured, and the commissioning of William Fox in his new role.

October was packed with highlights, including workshops with renowned vocal coach Anita Morrison, followed by a fun bowling and dinner outing for the choristers.

The annual Music Trust Evensong offered patrons a behind-the-scenes look at the choir, alongside refreshments and a reception celebrating the choir’s future plans. The recent delivery of a new Kawai grand piano, thanks to the Music Trust, has further enriched the choir’s rehearsals.
