Last Saturday, the Cathedral was delighted to welcome a visiting group from the Friends of St Mary’s, Chesham.

Dean Jo, together with members of the Friends of St Albans Cathedral, hosted the group for a full afternoon of fellowship. The visit included a guided tour of the Cathedral, tea in the Deanery Garden, and the opportunity to join the congregation for Choral Evensong in the Nave.

It was a joy to share the Cathedral’s history and life with our guests, and to enjoy conversation and hospitality together. Dean Jo expressed her thanks to the Friends of St Albans Cathedral for their generous welcome and their role in strengthening bonds of friendship between our two communities.

Visits such as these are a reminder of the vibrant relationships and shared traditions that the Friends movement nurtures — creating space for connection, learning, and worship across parish and Cathedral life.
