The Friends of St Albans Cathedral were delighted to host the launch of Gerald Corbett’s autobiography, When Something Happens. 

The Lady Chapel was full as Gerald was interviewed about his book by Jill Burridge, and their fascinating conversation covered everything from early family life to the joys and challenges of his career. The interview was followed by an array of interesting questions from the gathered crowd on everything from cricket to reflections on our world today. Gerald, who chaired the Alban Britain’s First Saint campaign, has generously given a donation to the Friends from the sale of every book. A great evening was had by all.
