Recruitment process

If you are interested in volunteering, please email [email protected]

After expressing your interest, you will be sent an application form where you will be asked a few questions about you and what you are looking for.  We will require two references and any information about your requirements.

Please be patient over the Advent season, we will be in touch as soon as possible but there may be a delay because of all the exciting activities happening at the Cathedral during this wonderful time.

You will then be invited to attend a recruitment day where we will get to know you and let you know more about volunteering at the Cathedral, the opportunities available and much more.  There will be opportunities to meet other volunteers and applicants, and we hope it will be an interesting and fun experience.

The next dates for recruitment will be 1 February or 4 February 2025.
If volunteering is right for you, you will be required to do the online Church of England safeguarding training to a level appropriate to the role or roles for which you are applying.  There may also be further training appropriate to the role(s).

More information about application requirements and further training will be provided at the selection days.
There is no obligation to join the volunteer team, just come along and see if it might be something for you?
