Choral Evensong with the Installation of the Canon Chancellor

All are warmly invited to join us for a special service of Choral Evensong at which the Revd Canon Dr Jennifer Cooper will be installed as Canon Chancellor.

Bishop Mark Wroe, Bishop of Beswick will preach at this special service.  

Revd Canon Dr Jennifer Cooper joins St Albans Cathedral with a distinguished background in theological education and ministry, most recently serving in the Dioceses of Durham and Newcastle and as Canon Theologian at Newcastle Cathedral. Her work has also included teaching, theological leadership, and international ecumenical engagement. 

This significant moment in the life of the Cathedral marks the formal welcome of Jennifer into the Chapter, as she takes up responsibility for theological learning, teaching and the Cathedral’s educational mission. With her deep commitment to scholarship, ecumenism and hospitality, we look forward to the gifts she will bring to the Cathedral community.
