Graffiti provides a unique view of the lives of the ordinary people who have worked and worshipped in St Albans Abbey through the ages. We have a wonderful collection of images – signatures, skeletons, animals, inscriptions, pictures of people and mythical beasts. In small groups, we will uncover the abbey’s harder to find graffiti in the Ramryge Chantry, Wallingford Chapel and the Shrine Chapel, among other locations.
