Staging Crew Supervisor Staging Crew Supervisor The Cathedral is recruiting for a Staging Crew Supervisor to join the team. This role supervises a team of Staging Crew to set up staging and other equipment required specific to each event held in the Cathedral. It is a hands-on practical role responsible for overseeing and leading the safe and efficient delivery of stage builds, removals, takedowns, and seating changes to support events, services, talks, and other activities held in the Cathedral. This role works directly on the Cathedral floor, supervising and guiding a team of 14 to 20 year old crew members, often within tight timeframes and live event environments. The role requires strong practical judgement, physical capability, and calm leadership. The role requires a strong focus on set up within the set time frame, working safety and teamwork. The role reports to the Events and Visitor Experience Manager. The hours are irregular and this role would suit someone who would like a flexible part time job to fit around their other commitments. During busy periods, typically from December to March, Supervisors may be required to work up to 2 shifts a week depending on their availability. During less busy times one shift a week would be more usual. The times of the shifts can vary but usually start at 8pm or slightly later. The building is staffed by an Evening Porter who is responsible for locking the building up at the end of the set up.
