Welcome students: Your Perfect Study Spot Awaits

Exam season can be stressful, but finding the right place for revision makes all the difference. Our Cathedral Library is here to support you this revision season, offering a comfortable space to keep you focused and motivated, all for free. 

Reserve your spot

We know that everyone studies differently, so we’ve tailored our library spaces to suit your needs. 

• Group Work Table: Collaborate, brainstorm, or work through problems with classmates—it’s perfect for team projects and group study. Turn up on the day - this table is not bookable in advance. 
• Double-Space Desks: Need extra room? Book one of our six double-space desks for a spacious and comfortable study session. Sessions are bookable 10am-1pm (Mon-Sat), and 1pm-4pm (Mon-Fri). You can book as many sessions as you like, all for free. 

On the 2 May and 6 June we have family story-telling sessions in the Library 11-11.30am. Anyone is welcome to work in there during this time, but please note that the library will be busier than usual during these 30 minutes. Desks cannot be reserved on these two mornings, but will be available on a first come, first served basis. 

Enjoy Food and Drinks Responsibly

Studying is hard work, and you are welcome to stay energised with your favourite snacks and drinks while you’re here. All we ask is that you please keep the space tidy for the next student. Our excellent Abbot's Kitchen Café also sells delicious coffee and cakes just downstairs. 

Quiet, Not Silent

Our library is a quiet study zone where light conversations and group brainstorming are welcome—perfect for productive work. However, please be mindful and respect others concentrating nearby.

A Safe Space

We're committed to our Cathedral and Library being a safe place for people to visit and work. You can see our policy for Young People in the Library here. If you wish to report a safeguarding concern, or have any questions about safeguarding at the Cathedral, please get in touch with our Safeguarding Team.  We ask all students to sign in and let us know their school when they arrive. This information will be deleted after a week.
